This playable edition uses a simplified Pachisi-inspired rule set. Six cowries are thrown: 1–5 open shells score their count, no open shells score 6, and six open shells score 12. A 6 or 12 lets a pawn enter the board and earns another throw. After throwing, select a glowing pawn to move. Land on an opponent outside a marked safe square to send it back to its palace and earn another throw. Complete one circuit and advance through your coloured home lane to the centre. An exact throw is required to finish.
Pachisi originated in India and is traditionally played on a cross-shaped cloth board using cowrie shells. Rules vary by region; this version is adapted for quick digital play.
